Glenn D. Bolduc
President and Chief Executive Officer
Glenn D. Bolduc became President and CEO at Implant Sciences in January 2009 after joining the company as Chief Financial Officer in July 2008. Mr. Bolduc has more than 25 years of executive and financial leadership experience at public and private technology and services companies. This experience includes Co-Founder, President, and CEO at Vialog Corporation, a consolidator within the teleconferencing service bureau industry. Mr. Bolduc also served as a Principal of Radius Advisors, a privately held advisory services firm, where he helped high tech and services-oriented businesses develop operational business plans. Previously, he served as CFO at Connected Corporation, a leading software developer of backup software for PCs and laptops, which was sold to Iron Mountain, and as Chief Financial Officer at MultiLink, Inc., Concord Data Systems, Inc. and Kronos, Inc. Mr. Bolduc began his career with Price Waterhouse & Company after graduating with a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Roger P. Deschenes
Vice President, Finance
Roger Deschenes joined the Company in June 2008 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President, Finance in January 2009. Mr. Deschenes has more than 25 years of accounting and financial leadership experience with publicly traded and private companies. Prior to joining the Company, he served as Vice President, Finance with Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. a leading supplier of roofing material and related products in North America. From 1990 to 2006 Mr. Deschenes served in several senior accounting and financial capacities at Saucony, including: Vice President, Controller, Chief Accounting Officer and Assistant Treasurer. Prior to that, he was employed at Allen-Bradley Company, a subsidiary of Rockwell International, Corp., from 1987 to 1990 as Financial and Cost Reporting Supervisor. Mr. Deschenes began his career as the Controller of Thomson Garden Center upon graduation with a BS in Business Administration from Salem State College. Mr. Deschenes is a Certified Management Accountant.
Dr. Stephen N. Bunker
Chief Scientist Emeritus
Dr. Stephen N. Bunker has served as the Company’s Chief Scientist since 1987. Prior to joining the Company, from 1972 to 1987, Dr. Bunker was a Chief Scientist at Spire Corporation. From 1971 to 1972, Dr. Bunker was an Engineer at McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Dr. Bunker received his Ph.D. in nuclear physics from the University of California Los Angeles, and is the author of fifteen patents in the field of ion beam technology.
Kenneth A. Ribeiro
Chief Technology Officer
Ken Ribeiro joined Implant Sciences in 2005 to lead corporate product development efforts. Mr. Ribeiro has more than 26 years' experience in research and development at high technology companies, most recently at General Electric where he was Director of Research and Development of the Chem/Bio Homeland Protection facility in the Security Division. In addition to his expertise in trace explosive detection, Mr. Ribeiro's multi-disciplinary background included work in medical instruments, including research and development of surgical lasers and patient monitoring equipment. Mr. Ribeiro received his BS in Electrical Engineering and MS in Physics/Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jeffrey T. Tehan
Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Jeff Tehan joined Implant Sciences in 2008, and is the company's Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Tehan was employed at L-3 Communications as Product Line Manager for Checkpoint Security Solutions, which included P&L responsibility for conventional and advanced technology x-ray, explosives trace detection, whole body imaging, and walk-through metal detector systems. Previously, Mr. Tehan held positions of increasing responsibility in product marketing and product management with Agilent Technologies. Prior to that, Mr. Tehan spent 15 years in hi-tech quality and reliability engineering roles. Mr. Tehan attended the Executive MBA program and holds a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He has also completed programs in Product Development at Harvard Business School and Technology Strategy at MIT Sloan School of Management.
Todd Silvestri
Vice President, Product Development
Todd Silvestri joined Implant Sciences in 2008 and is directly responsible for the design and commercialization of its advanced explosive trace detection solutions. Previously, Mr. Silvestri was Senior Vice President of Century Capital Partners, assisting his clients in defining optimal exiting strategies, securing capital, and expanding into foreign markets. Prior to that, he led New Product Development for Environmental Systems Products (ESP), where he was responsible for expanding the company’s traditional business-to-government services into new frontiers by commercializing products and services for private business clients and consumers. In 2003, Mr. Silvestri founded APAC Global LLC providing expert consulting in the areas of Company Establishment, Localization/Relocation of Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Organizational Design primarily focused with small to medium sized companies expanding to, or within, the Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Silvestri holds a Masters Degree in Business from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Brenda Baron
Vice President, Manufacturing
Joining Implant Sciences in 2004, Ms. Baron developed the Security Division's manufacturing operations, quickly establishing a supply chain organization, as well as manufacturing, test, and documentation control. Her previous position as Configuration Manager at GE Ion Track – where she played a key role in bringing handheld, bench top, and portal trace detectors into production – provided her with extensive experience in trace detection products, technology, system configurations, and customer requirements. This experience allowed for a very quick start-up of the Security Division Operations at Implant Sciences and enabled the company to ramp production to meet the increase in demand of the QS-H100 Handheld Explosives Trace Detector, successfully shipping over 200 systems in the first full year of production. Ms Baron also led the release of the QS-H150 into production, where she engaged Columbia Tech as the contract manufacturer, overseeing technical transfer and training for a smooth transition into total turnkey manufacturing. She continues to bring new products into manufacturing, drive cost reductions, and maintain excellent supply chain relationships. |
